Majority Floor Leader Rocky
Adkins, State Representative, District 99
As an 12-year cancer survivor, I know that
having family around during this stressful time can help make the
recovery process easier. That's
why I actively raise funds for cancer research and the King's Daughters
Medical Center's Hospitality House in Ashland, Kentucky.
In 1995, I founded the Rocky Adkins Charity Golf Outing - Cure for
Cancer which has raised more than $800,000 for ongoing cancer research
projects for the Cincinnati Children's Hospital and the American
Cancer Society, as well as support for the Hospitality House.
The house provides families, especially those with limited resources,
a warm, inviting place to stay so they can be close to their loved
ones scheduled for a medical procedure or involved in ongoing clinical
treatment.
