The 16th Annual Rocky Adkins Golf Tournament was held at the Eagle Trace Golf Course in Morehead on May 27th. For the past 16 years, Rep. Adkins has raised more than $1.2 million to help build the King's Daughters Hospitality House, renovate the oncology unit at the hospital, and purchase the traveling mammography unit that has helped 1,200 women receive mammograms in seven Kentucky counties and three counties in Ohio.
Pictured left: the Hospitality House is a comfortable, homey place for guests to stay when they have loved ones in the hospital or a patient needs a place to stay when they are coming here for treatment and live over 50 miles away.
Rep. Adkins, a cancer survivor, is passionate about raising money to help eradicate cancer in his lifetime. Read the article in the Ashland Daily Independent newspaper on the event. Below is a slideshow of pictures from the golf tournament.
