![]() Americans were forced to really think about oil supplies and dependence on foreign oil for the first time. They bought smaller European and Japanese cars and Detroit produced new lines of smaller cars and downsized existing lines. Parents, neighbors and co-workers carpooled or took mass transit to school and work. Everyone became aware of the impact oil had on our lives and our economy. |
